I have tried in my website to explain the program as clearly as I can but I do want to give you a verbal picture of what you will be receiving. There is a minor flaw in the filming quality of the DVD. At the beginning there are letters in the background which are somewhat blurred. Also, in filming there was not enough color difference between the foreground and the background on some of the letters which causes a minor fuzziness in a few places in the DVD which clears up quickly.
I have made it clear in this site that the DVD is not designed to be entertaining, and that it is for the purpose of giving simple phonics lessons, but I want to repeat that again. Although it will attract the young child's attention for short periods it is not necessary to sit a small child down expecting them to watch it through. The DVD only needs to be in children's vision as they play and do other things. They will glance that way from time to time, and take in the knowledge needed over time. For child care facilities, letting your children fall asleep at naptime watching the DVD might be a good approach.
The printed materials, i.e. workbooks, ABC book, and parent's manual were printed by a local printing company who did a very professional job. You can get a look at a few sample pages by going to the Sample Pages link. The workbooks are perforated so they tear out easily. The covers are of good quality best compared to the grade level workbooks you buy at Wal-Mart. The DVD was filmed in my home but was then sent to a company for editing and to convert it into DVD format. It is professional enough looking, despite the minor flaw, for being home filmed, and remember is not entertainment as I have said. It is designed as an easy substitute for flash cards, and for what it is designed for, it is what it should be.
I believe I have explained the program thoroughly, but it is designed as a program to be used over time. Because of this, I can not give returns on this program. So if you buy you are going to be making a commitment to give it a try. This website is your legal guarantee that what you will receive is exactly what is described. I would like to further warn you that your inital view of the DVD will probably be disappointing to you. But if you will just use it, you will find that it's lack of aesthetics does not make it ineffective for it's purposes.
